Who is eligible for PM Kisan?

All farmer families who own cultivable land and whose names appear in the state land records are eligible, subject to exclusion criteria. Instalments are released three times a year. The first instalment covers the period April to July, the second covers August to November, and the third covers December to March. Why did I not receive my instalment?

The most common reasons for a missing instalment are an incomplete eKYC, Aadhaar not linked to your bank account, errors or mismatches in land records, incorrect information in your registration, or a bank account that is dormant or closed. Check your Beneficiary Status on pmkisan.gov.in using your Aadhaar or registration number to see the exact reason shown against your record.

How do I complete eKYC?

eKYC is mandatory every year. Go to pmkisan.gov.in, click Farmers Corner, then eKYC. Enter your Aadhaar number, verify with the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number, and submit. If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) for biometric-based eKYC. Without completed eKYC, instalments are held back even if you are otherwise eligible.

How do I register as a new farmer?

Go to pmkisan.gov.in, click Farmers Corner, then New Farmer Registration. You will need your Aadhaar number, bank account number with IFSC code, and land ownership documents (Khasra or Khata number from state land records). After submission, the application is verified by the state government before you start receiving instalments. The process typically takes 30–60 days for first-time registrants.
